• Integrate the knowledge and practice of preparation for commercial mediation, reviewing settlement history, opening session and the nature of opening statements in commercial mediation.
• Discuss and integrate the knowledge and practice of communication and questioning skills in private sessions, managing joint and private meetings in a commercial mediation process.
• Integrate the knowledge and practice of discovering settlement options, facilitating negotiation and settlement and drafting agreement in a commercial mediation process.
• Discuss and critique the legislative framework for commercial mediation.
• Manage and integrate the role of the expert in mediation practice.
• Critically analyse differences between person centered and evaluative mediation.
• Reflect on and analyse conflict issues in a commercial mediation case, explore the mediator's values and role and hypothesise interventions.

• 42 hours formal presentations, intensive skills development and experiential learning plus independent learning of 158 hours.
