The dynamics of conflict are explored through the examination of processes describing the way conflict emerges from, evolves in, and is created by various social and personal forces.
Students review the ideologies shaping conflict resolution and the processes of negotiation, conciliation and mediation.
Topics to be covered in class include the conflict intervenors role, functions and skills, the many ways of intervention, communication in conflict, mediation :art or science, theory informed practice and ideological perspectives.
