• Display an in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of contract law, torts and intellectual property, and an ability to construct or dissect a legal argument as to the applicability or non-applicability of these laws in a business situation.
• Examine the enforceability of a bargain in a given factual matrix, prepare an argument as to the enforceability or non-enforceability of a bargain and predict the outcome of a judicial determination of the problem.
• Interpret a given factual matrix in light of business law, summarise the main legal issues involved and construct an opinion as to the legal position.
• Comprehend the principles relating to business law, explain their operation on different circumstances and distinguish an enforceable from an unenforceable bargain.
• Give examples as to circumstances when business law will be relevant to corporate decision-making and summarise the key legal issues that should be considered.
