This module seeks to introduce students to the field of comparative constitutional law. We will examine the core areas of comparative constitutional law—namely, constitution drafting and revision, constitutional adjudication and interpretation (both international and domestic), and rights. The conceptual exploration of these areas will be done through case-studies on specific constitutions and courts from the Global North as well as the Global South.
Learning Outcomes: This module is intended to provide students with an understanding of the basic topics, concepts, processes and questions dealt in comparative constitutional law. As well as an understanding of the practical implications that are related to the study of this field
