Jurisprudence asks: what is law? This module examines the question from the point of view of legal history, political and legal theory, as well as from the viewpoint of other disciplines such as anthropology and sociology.
Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer.
You must take LW354 Jurisprudence and LW358 Jurisprudence II in order to get the exemption for the King’s Inns (Barrister course). You do not need these modules for the purposes of the Law Society (Solicitor course).
