	This module will explore Irish property law in depth and, as well as including an examination of specific areas of land law, will provide an introduction to landlord and tenant law and the law of succession. This module will explore Irish property law in depth and, as well as including an examination of specific areas of land law, will provide an introduction to landlord and tenant law and the law of succession.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Display an in-depth knowledge of the more detailed concepts of property law, including succession law and the law of landlord and tenant. Comprehend the principles relating to the alienation and devolution of estates and interest, during the life of the parties or upon death; and explain their operation in different circumstances. Analyse a given factual matrix in light of land law principles law principles, summarise the main legal issues involved and construct an opinion as to the legal position. Analyse, debate and criticise the law in a particular area of land law and draw conclusions as to its effectiveness and fairness.
