• Critically analyse the law as it applies to commercial transactions involving goods and services, in particular the ownership, transfer, possession, and sale of goods. Identify and outline the law relating to domestic and international sale of goods, including the transfer of property, risk and title, and sources of contract terms.
• Outline and critique the legal protections in the context of the sale of goods and the remedies of buyer and seller.
• Analyse and evaluate the law relating to agency, the creation and termination of the agency relationship, the authority of the agent and relations between the principal, agent and third parties.
• Recognise legal issues in a hypothetical fact scenario and apply legal principles and precedents to such a scenario, with a view to explaining a likely legal outcome or solution.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Continuous assessment may include an essay, problem question, case study exercise, mooting problem based on a hypothetical commercial law scenario, or negotiation and drafting of agreements, at the lecturer’s discretion.
