Students will develop a knowledge of the essential legal principles of torts including statutory negligence, vicarious liability, trespass, defamation and nuisance. They will be able to recognise when a claim is statute barred by passage of time and when additional parties may be sued. They will also be able to advise on the appropriateness and desirability of different remedies depending on the case at hand.
Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer.
