1. Comprehend terminology and key concepts of Environment and Sustainable Development;

Be expected to have a good insight into the nature, underlying causes, and consequences of key global environmental concerns and the implications of these issues for international development and to be able to offer a critique of the role of various Multilateral, State and non State actors in working to address these issues;

3. Have a good understanding of the linkages between population growth, resource extraction and consumption and wealth generation, poverty, and environmental change;

4. Will have critically reflected upon different theoretical perspectives on ‘sustainable development’ and the relationships between the economy and the environment;

5.Will be informed on contemporary debates around the socio-economic and environmental impacts of how land is used and food is produced and distributed globally.
