This foundation course offers an interdisciplinary assessment of Ireland’s rich cultural heritage. This approach investigates the archaeology, history, architecture and the arts, the literature of places and the creation and manipulation of history in relation to some of the great prehistoric and early medieval locations in Ireland. Central to this module are the Neolithic complex of the Boyne Valley and the expansive remains of the Clonmacnoise early medieval monastic centre. |
