On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

developed their understanding of current trends, historiographical and methodological challenges and innovations in scholarship in the discipline ;

practised active participation in research seminars through listening, questioning, and engaging in discussion with speakers and peers;

further developed their repertoire of presentation skills through ongoing critical observation of, and reflection on, the presentation styles of peers and invited speakers;

developed an understanding of academic research as a collective and interdisciplinary exercise.
