On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:
- 1. Operational Studies a. To prepare students to participate in joint operational planning for war fighting and crisis management. b. To develop the students understanding of the operational and strategic capabilities of Land, Maritime and Air power. c. To expand the studentís professional knowledge through analysis of operational campaign studies. 2. Campaigning a. To educate students how operational level commanders and staffs refine and translate broad, strategic national and multinational objectives into clear, integrated and synchronized operational tasks; thus enabling students to appreciate the inherent complexity of military operations at the operational and into the strategic levels of war b. To develop the studentís understanding of the responsibilities and interaction of the commander and his/her staff in headquarters operations. c. To educate students with the Operational Planning Process and other planning processes as practised in NATO/PfP/EU, thereby enabling them to conduct combined, joint operational planning.
