In this module students are exposed to a number of cutting-edge History books, articles and debates. They are asked to read an important monograph or corpus of articles per week, these readings forming the basis of in-class discussion and a weekly oral presentation by a student. Each week students will submit a written book review (750 words) and at the end of the semester they will submit a bibliographic overview (no more than 4,000 words) comparing the literature and approaches covered in the module.
