• 24 contact hours or equivalent (lectures, seminars, field trips, etc.)

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): 2500 word essay or shorter essay combined with class assignments/class tests; Essay to be submitted in the second last week of lectures.

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No
• There is a condition attached to this module. 2 A student must sit the examination If this condition is not met the module result is capped at a maximum of 35%.
• Penalties: No late material accepted unless medical or other compelling reasons are established in writing.

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• One-hour examination. There will be no repeat of continuous assessment components. Marks received during the semester in respect of continuous assessment components will be carried over.
• University scheduled written examination (Autumn): 60 minutes
