The aim of this module is to introduce machine learning methods within the context of statistical modelling, forming a foundation for PhD research on the development of new methods. Syllabus: 1. Statistical modelling, 2. Data wrangling and pre-processing, 3. Estimation and decision-making algorithms, 4. Supervised and unsupervised learning, 5. Neural networks.
