• Evaluate methods and resources for effective small group teaching and learning in higher education.
• Apply a variety of methods and resources to enhance own practice as teachers in higher education.
• Explore ways of evaluating student learning, both formal and informal.
• Reflect on feedback on teaching practice which is received from a wide variety of sources: mentor; students; peers; session material; literature reviews; and self experience.
• In response to this reflection on feedback, discuss own practice and how it might improve to improve student’s learning.

• 50% of the marks for this module will be awarded for demonstrating competency in teaching and learning and contributing to peer to peer feedback and peer evaluation sessions which will be facilitated by the assigned senior demonstrator/lecturer. The remaining 50% of the marks will be awarded for the submission of a proposed module outline suitable for delivery at undergraduate level in geography.
