Overview Overview

This module explores issues relating to the environmental and social causes of human disease. It considers the importance of Geography in the context of medical/health data and the uses of and challenges involved with using such data. It considers the various ways that environment influences health, including the relationship between early life exposures and disease in later life. It reflects on the relationship between poverty, inequality and health and examines the role of social capital, in this regard.
