	This module will take place over three one-day workshops in An Foras Feasa Seminar Room, 1st Floor, Iontas Building on the following Mondays: 5 February, 19 February and 5 March. To introduce students from all disciplines to the problems and possibilities of using evidence relating to the past in their project.

This module will take place over three one-day workshops in An Foras Feasa Seminar Room, 1st Floor, Iontas Building on the following Mondays: 5 February, 19 February and 5 March.

To introduce students from all disciplines to the problems and possibilities of using evidence relating to the past in their project.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: recognize the different types of sources created in the past distinguish different categories of bias as they affect different types of sources, including personal and institutional bias and how different approaches to the past utilize different types of evidence. develop a strategy for accessing a range of evidence that can be deployed in a thesis monitor the coherence and consistency of approach to evidence reflect in a essay on the evidence used for understanding the past, from a range of disciplinary perspectives, and consider the potential transfer of this to their own area of interest
