This module will cover classical and contemporary issues in International Finance. Among the former, we cover topics such as interest rate parity and purchasing power parity. For the latter, we focus on current topical issues such as models of capital flows and international diversification. We also examine issues relating to the cross-country transmission of shocks and contagion. The detection and identification of different forms of contagion allow us to evaluate the risks and opportunities facing international financial market participants and informs policy.
