	Overview
	This module requires students to undertake independent research on a Finance topic of their choice. The thesis will be completed under the guidance of a Supervisor. The purpose of the Finance Thesis is to allow the student to apply knowledge and techniques developed in other modules to answer an interesting question in the field of Finance. It requires the student to think deeply and critically about a topic, analyse it thoroughly using appropriate methods, and discuss and present their results. Good communication and presentation of results is a key aspect of writing a thesis.

	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Demonstrate an ability to undertake independent research; Produce an extended piece of analysis on a Finance topic; Identify, gather and present appropriate data to analyse the problem; Use analytic skills and critical thinking evaluate the question; and Accurately interpret results and draw conclusions supported by the data.
