• Demonstrate awareness of the various career paths open to people within the equine industry;
• Critically appraise the various operations and roles which would be involved in many of these careers;
• Manage and apply effetively skills already learnt and/or will learn and develop on this programme such as research and evaluation techniques, time and project management, operations management, teamwork and interpersonal communication;
• Critically evaluate key issues associated with career development through various methods including lecture notes, case studies, class discussions/debates and interactive exercises such as data gathering (research) in order to explore the potential for even more progression along the career development pathway;
• Demonstrate and apply effectively important workplace skills meeting deadlines, problem solving, presenting professional written reports;
• Reflect on the experience and share this information with their peers, career development officers and the wider practitioner community; and
• Critically evaluate project findings and demonstrate the importance of presenting an oral argument.

• It will examine the key issues through various methods including lectures, case studies, online materials, guest speakers, company research, class discussions/debates, interactive exercises, and private study. Learning resources include academic textbooks, refereed academic journals, practitioner publications, and nominated websites.
