	Overview
	The aim of this module is to increase the student’s background knowledge in advanced Experimental Physics topics and train them in the skills of research presentation. Module Content: Ten 50-minute research seminars given by leading researchers in a variety of areas of Physics. Credit can be given for attendance at a seminar at another university, for example as part of the Institute of Physics seminar series. The student must submit a summary of one of these seminars. Preparation and delivery of a 45-minute departmental seminar on the student’s own MSc or PhD research.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Demonstrate a record of attendance at research seminars in Experimental Physics or of relevance to the student's research. Summarize the key points of a research seminar on an advanced topic. Prepare a full-length seminar presentation on one's own research. Deliver a full-length seminar presentation to an audience of peers and academics.
