The aim of this module is to introduce students to a range of techniques for solving numerical problems in the physical sciences and develop skills in computer programming.

Module content: graphing functions, rootfinding, numerical differentiation and integration, interpolation, Euler & Runge-Kutta methods for solving ordinary differential equations, Monte-Carlo methods, physical examples.
