The aim of this module is to introduce the student to medical instrumentation.

Indicative Syllabus:
*Basic concepts of medical instrumentation
*Basic sensors and principles
*Amplifiers and analog signal processing
*The origin of biopotentials
*Modelling of the action potential
*Biopotential electrodes
*Biopotential amplifiers
* ECG, EMG,and EEG
*Biosignal processing, including filtering and spectral astimates
*Biophotonic systems
