Courses / Module

• Engage in short-term and long-term planning, from a Froebelian perspective, for the teaching of religious education on School Placement (Fourth Class to Sixth Class);
• be familiar with and employ the four principal programmes of religious education at Primary-School level in use in Ireland today;
• identify and review some of the classic responses to humanity's on-going search for meaning;
• describe and evaluate different conceptions of the relationship between religion and science.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): The preparation and presentation of a seminar paper and its subsequent conversion into an academic essay.

• Each component of the continuous assessment must be separately passed at 40% and cannot be compensated within the module Satisfactory attendance is a requirement of this module
