	Overview
	This module will enhance new teachers� skills and confidence in teaching Inquiry Based Science and Nature of Science activities in the classroom. They will learn new methodologies and learn how to design and make resources for science in junior and senior primary classes. The students will learn about taking a constructivist approach to teaching primary science. They will engage in turning the constructivist theory into practical classroom lessons. They will work in groups. They will take part in Inquiry Based activities to view the process through the role of the learner. They will discuss classroom management techniques for primary science. They will learn how to make resources for primary science. They will be introduced to new topics for primary science. The students will reflect on the science lessons in the workshops and learn how to incorporate reflection into their own science lessons

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Select and investigate in-depth a strand / unit of the Primary Science Curriculum. Understand Inquiry Based Science as a methodology for teaching primary science. Engage children in open-ended investigation. Design and make activities/resources for use in primary schools Understand fair testing and 'testable' questioning in primary science. Present findings to whole group.
