Key theories and research in the use of ICT as a methodology will be studied and explored through the use of active workshops.
Pedagogical awareness will be developed in order to explore how their own experience of, and competency in, ICT can be employed successfully to support teaching and learning. Students will develop a range of classroom resources and explore Web 2.0 tools to discover how teaching and learning in various curricular areas could be enhanced through technology.
The workshop experience is designed to develop the student's digital competence for their own study, teaching and pupil learning. They will gain practical experience of multimedia tools and apps that can support their teaching, learning, assessment, planning and classroom administration.
In this module assistive technology and online safety for children will also be explored.
