Students will consider the impact of trauma, bereavement, parental separation, parental drug misuse, and abuse/neglect on the lives of children. Students will explore how such challenges impact on children’s family life and education, explore school-based initiatives, which offer protective structures, and clarify their responsibilities in relation to child protection. Students will learn about the Meitheal process and build confidence in participating or leading a Meitheal.
