This module will focus on enabling students to develop the games knowledge and coaching skills to deliver a unit
of gaelic games coaching in local primary schools. A certified course of coach education will be provided. This will
include transferrable fundamental skill development and teaching methodologies in a gaelic games context.
There will also be an emphasis on the adaptation of games practice to effectively include pupils with special
educational needs in the mainstream primary class
Following the initial inputs from Kildare Gaa /Leinster Council Tutors, the students will be assigned to local
Kildare primary schools to implement their own devised coaching programme.
