	This module will focus on the inclusion of children with SEN (special educational needs) in the mainstream primary PE class setting. �There will also be an emphasis on wider practical experience of inclusive approaches to strand units of outdoor and adventure activities and aquatics. The theories and research related to this area will be explored and applied to classroom practice.

This module will focus on the inclusion of children with SEN (special educational needs) in the mainstream primary PE class setting. �There will also be an emphasis on wider practical experience of inclusive approaches to strand units of outdoor and adventure activities and aquatics.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Demonstrate theories of APA (adapted physical activity) and APE (adapted physical education) in a PE lesson and broader school physical activity context Present research on a particular type of SEN and on strategies to facilitate PE with pupils with those needs Develop a research informed whole school plan for Inclusive PE Create a school orienteering resource pack and use photos and maps to teach inclusive lessons to junior and senior classes Use AT (Assistive Technology) to support the learning of pupils in a physical education setting
