	Overview
	This module serves to develop skills and practice in Educational Drama and Dance, for use in the primary school. Students� knowledge and critical understanding of the key principles of both Drama and Creative Dance will be expanded. The integrated nature of the art forms, their pedagogies and their philosophical underpinnings will be explored. Students will plan, teach and critically evaluate their experience of teaching an integrated Arts Education scheme of work in a primary class

	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Demonstrate skills in Dance and Drama composition, performance and appreciation Collaborate in Dance and Drama composition for a variety of primary class groupings Employ a range of teaching skills and methodologies used in Dance and Drama in Education Plan a Dance in Education scheme for a target age-group informed by the principles of the 1999 curriculum and other key readings Apply a critical knowledge and understanding of current thinking in Dance in Education in debate and presentation
