On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

Provide for the care and education of a diverse group of children in an early childhood setting.

Plan, implement and assess curriculum to meet the learning needs and interests of the children in an early childhood setting and use a range of tools to assess children’s learning and development.

Support children’s well-being and sense of identity and belonging.

Engage in practice that supports children’s critical thinking and learning, and promotes dispositions of mastery and agency.

Critically reflect on their practice and use their reflections to plan future practice.

Organise, equip and manage an inclusive environment for young children and adults cognisant of affordance, constraints, needs and interests.

Contribute to and work effectively as part of a professional team and engage effectively with parents, families and the wider community.
