• Identify a range of needs that might require additional support in early year’s settings;
• Examine the national support frameworks and practice guidelines and review their impact on the children, their families and practice in early year’s settings;
• Explore the Anti-Bias Curriculum and its implementation in early year’s settings;
• Review relevant policies and procedures within early year’s settings;
• Consider the role of the educator in relation to an inclusive early year’s environment;
• Identify the various strategies and techniques that support the inclusion of all children in early year’s settings.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): This module will be assessed through a range of work which can include: Reflective journal, Student portfolio, Observation tasks, Resource file, Policy audit, Presentation, Research paper, Curriculum development, Children’s work portfolio, etc.

• Satisfactory attendance is a requirement of this module.
