	Overview
	Incorporating the learning from their current modules, students will work independently under the guidance of a supervisor to develop their ability to assist in providing for the care and education of a group of children in an early childhood setting. Students will begin to use a range of teaching strategies and methodologies in implementing curriculum and manage routines and transitions in everyday practice.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Identify occupation profiles in the ECCE sector Explore the role of the professional in ECCE Engage with colleagues as part of a professional team Describe the core competencies required to work in ECCE Identify a range of approaches to observation Explore and document opportunities for play and children's learning through play across the curriculum Interact effectively with individual and groups of children (birth to six years) Engage in ethical practice
