Courses / Module

The purpose of this module is to offer students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of a particular area of research pertinent to their dissertation project. This module aims to develop students’ critical facility in a research, theoretical or methodological area directly related to their thesis focus. In conjunction with their supervisor, students will define an area of study and construct the specific module readings, which should total the equivalent of approximately 4-5 books or 20-30 articles. The content will be designed by the supervisor (or equivalent) in relation to the student’s defined area of study. Readings will be identified and a schedule for monthly meetings will be determined by mutual agreement.
