This module introduces students to central concepts and traditions in the field of education. Students will encounter a range of perspectives that extend and enlarge their understanding of educational research traditions, including cognate areas that introduce critical perspectives. Students will be able to: identify different traditions in educational research and locate their own research in a tradition; understand the relationship between epistemological positions and research methods; critically enquire into, and evaluate, central concepts relating to educational research. Students will also undertake ED802 in Semester 2.
