This module is an advanced study of practices of teaching and learning, building on the work done in the previous year, but with a stronger focus on such themes and topics as: critical and creative pedagogy; Key Skills, advanced Special Education Needs, social justice, the integrated curriculum, quality teaching and learning, perspectives on inclusive education, building professional Learning Communities, Differentiation, Junior Cycle Reform, Educational Technology, Wellbeing, Restorative Practice. Students will also undertake advanced study of subject specific and generic methodologies with greater focus on the senior cycle. Discretionary studies also forms an important part of this module. It is an opportunity for students to personalize their programme of studies.
