• On completion of this module, the student will be able to: • identify key concepts in mathematics and computer science pedagogy • combine content knowledge of mathematics and computer science with appropriate pedagogical strategies in teaching for understanding • deploy a range of pedagogical tools, including technology resources, to support students’ learning of mathematics, computer science and applied mathematics • explore the needs of various groups of students and consider the range of factors that can influence learning outcomes • demonstrate understanding of relevant assessment practices.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Project. Students will try different instructional approaches in their classrooms and will consider aspects that facilitate and/ or impede development of learners’ mathematics, applied mathematics and computer science thinking and conceptual learning. They will also analyse research lessons from the perspectives of classroom interactions, differentiation and assessment practices.
