• Learning Outcomes: On completion of this module, the student will be able to: • identify key concepts in science pedagogy • combine content knowledge of science with appropriate pedagogical strategies for inquiry based science teaching and learning • deploy a range of pedagogical tools, including ICT resources, to support students’ learning of science • explore the needs of various groups of students and consider the range of factors that can influence learning outcomes • demonstrate understanding of relevant assessment practices • develop strategies to embed literacy and numeracy into the teaching of science.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Project. Students will try different instructional approaches in their classrooms and will consider aspects that facilitate and/ or impede development of learners’ thinking and conceptual learning. They will also analyse research lessons from the perspectives of classroom interactions, differentiation and assessment practices.
