This module introduces students to a variety of topic areas in economics. Starting off from a theoretical base, we will discuss how economists have approached numerous issues and discuss their implications. Many of these theories will build on microeconomics concepts from first and second years. Then, we move on to learn about several important academic papers in these areas of economics, and how these may impact policy. This is a good module for students interested in learning about a range of applied economics topics and may provide some useful insights for those writing their dissertation.
