This module introduces students to the economic issues involved in the organisation and undertaking of sporting and sports-related activities.
Topics that may be analysed include: demand for sport; pricing of sports events; Pareto efficiency; organisation of clubs and leagues; competitive balance; labour markets in sport; broadcasting of sport; public finance and sport; cheating in sport; gambling and sport.
