Employees, firms and the government all make decisions that have an impact on the labour market. The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of how the interaction of these agents determines labour market and other outcomes that affect an individual’s utility.Topics covered may include: labour supply, labour demand and minimum wages, Unemployment, Immigration and Discrimination. Where possible topics will reflect current developments in the Irish labour market. |
