On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

demonstrate a critical understanding of the links between key concepts of economic and social development, environmental sustainability and social justice

discuss the national and international policy context of environmental sustainability in general and climate change in particular

explore the implications for society and social & climate justice of key environmental issues such as climate change, food sovereignty, degraded ecosystems, flooding, drought and the carbon economy

demonstrate insight into the relationship between environmental sustainability and social justice with reference to relevant case studies nationally and internationally
