	This module explores programming/scripting languages used within the digital media or digital arts industries. It examines the theoretical principles of these languages and their role in producing meaningful media content. Students will learn the principles of object-oriented scripting languages, in particular Action Script, data structures, algorithms and processing for implementation in a practical context.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Recognise, duplicate and modify programming/scripting languages Relate the importance of data structures, algorithms and objects in programming Creatively apply programming/scripting languages in the production of digital media Solve production problems
