	Overview
	This module aims to introduce students to some of the key global development challenges facing humanity in the Twenty First Century, including climate change, migration, racism, rising inequality, poverty and hunger, and to think critically about our interconnected lives in a globalised world. Drawing on Adult Education pedagogies and methodologies, the module is designed to develop critical understanding of an interdependent and unequal world and to consider ways to address social injustice through activism.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Explore key models of development and challenges facing the world today. Critically engage with the concepts and theories of interconnection and global citizenship Identify local and global forces shaping our lives. Introduce and assess the Global Goals 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. Critically explore the implications, rights, and responsibilities of global citizenship and sustainable development. Critically engage with individual and collective actions that can help deliver global justice.
