Credits: 10
Semester: Year-Long
Department: AFF (DIGITAL HUMANITIES)

Overview Overview

This module will provide students with practical work experience on digital projects in cultural heritage organizations, libraries, and on NUIM-based digital humanities projects. Students will learn the basics of project management and good project planning through the taught elements of the module. Students will work on structured projects which are agreed upon by the module coordinator and the staff liaison at the institution.
These projects may range, for example, from writing a scoping document for a specific digital humanities project, to creating a digital exhibition on a specific theme or topic, to writing a best practice whitepaper on a particular technology, digital preservation method, or new digital project idea. Each project will be assigned a NUIM mentor and will be supervised by a local expert from the project or institution to which the student is attached.
