	This module will engage with the key issues and concepts around power and politics, in the context of work with adults, both contemporary and historical. It will enable the students to critical analyze the sociological debates within academic literature. It will provide the opportunity for students to interrogate their own perspectives on power and politics in the practice of work with adults.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: contextualize the work with adults with a wider social perspective critically analyze the sociological debates within academic literature, including the trends and issues that are emerging in current thought, from education for democracy to managerialism. contextualize adult education within the framework of the construction of the social world
