This module will engage with key texts on critical pedagogy, critical adult and community education and critical thinking and reflexivity. It will interrogate current practice and policy, implicit and explicit, in the field. It will provide opportunities to facilitate social transformation in community and education. It will explore critical political, cultural and sociological literacies through an exploration of texts, film, oral histories, music and drama.
On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:
