Credits: 5
Semester: 2
Quota: 40
Department: ADULT EDUCATION
International: Yes
Coordinator: Dr Camilla Fitzsimons (ADULT EDUCATION)
Overview Overview

This practice-based module builds on what was discussed in AD 260. Through field work, you will get to visit, and appraise, community education in your own local community. In other words, you get to compare and contrast community education in theory and community education in practice.
Objectives:
1. To introduce students to actual community education organisations and to hear firsthand experiences from practitioners across Community Sector and State providers alike.
2. To link theories and concepts associated with community-based education to practice.
3. To promote a critique of action in the field.
