This module sets out to take participants beyond the confines of the university by exploring community education in practice. Through field work, students will appraise current community education exploring relationships between theory and practice.

Objectives:
1. To introduce influential community education organisations and practitioners across Community Sector and State providers alike.
2. To link theories and concepts associated with community-based education to practice.
3. To promote a critique of action in the field.
